Privacy
Game Chat is built to need as little information as possible. This page describes exactly what is stored.
If you enter a code
Nothing identifying is stored. When a redirect happens, Game Chat records the code, the time and the country the visitor's network is in, and nothing else: no IP address, no device or browser details, no referrer and no visitor identifier. Country counts are kept as daily totals, never against an individual visit. There is no fingerprinting and no advertising.
If you create a code
Your email address is stored so you can sign in and so the code belongs to someone. Sign-in links and sessions are stored only as one-way hashes. Your destination link, the code, and counts of how often it was used are stored so your dashboard can show them.
How long it is kept
Individual redirect records are removed after 90 days. Daily totals are kept so long-term figures survive. Spent and expired sign-in links are deleted daily.
